Should the Arizona Coyotes tank for Connor McDavid?

Things are getting ugly when it comes to the Arizona Coyotes.
After general manager Don Maloney threatened to trade everyone following a big loss, the signs of a struggling team were exposed.
Just four points separate the Coyotes from the basement of the NHL. With more rumors circulating about buyers falling through and a Western Conference they can’t really compete in, Carter and Paige think it’s time to tank.
The Coyotes wouldn’t be calling it quits, they would be investing in the future. Connor McDavid, a 17-year-old Canadian, is expected to be the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. He’s also expected to change the NHL and is being compared to the greats (read: Sidney Crosby).
Is a losing season fun? No. Is a losing season fun if the Coyotes hold the top pick and McDavid heads to the desert? No, but it sure would help kill the bad taste in fans’ mouths.
