The Arizona Diamondbacks’ Sunday matchup with the Colorado Rockies had some controversy but had a happy ending for the D-backs.
In the 13th inning, Daniel Descalso, filling in for Yasmany Tomas in left field, hit a two-run walk-off home run to give the Diamondbacks a 2-0 win.
As you might expect, Descalso was greeted by more than just his teammates crossing home plate.

There’s also the inevitable Gatorade bath and bubble gum hat coming afterward.

The win for the D-backs came after a controversial call in the 10th inning when A.J. Pollock was ruled out due to interference. Had Pollock been safe on third base, Arizona would have had a great chance of winning the game with Paul Goldschmidt up to bat with one out and the winning run on third.
