Report: Cardinals have worked out Washington State QB Luke Falk

Washington State quarterback prospect Luke Falk has worked out for the Arizona Cardinals in preparation for the 2018 NFL Draft, reports NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero.
Falk, who initially walked on to WSU’s football team, burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2014 and developed into the Pac-12’s career passing leader with 14,481 total yards by the end of his career. Despite multiple benchings as a senior playing in coach Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense, the 6-foot-4, 223-pound Falk threw for 3,593 yards, 30 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while completing 67 percent of his passes.
ESPN NFL Draft analysts Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. have Falk projected as a second- or third-round pick.
He could be an option for Arizona in those rounds should general manager Steve Keim pass on taking a quarterback with the team’s No. 15 overall selection.

Falk, who in each of his sophomore and junior campaigns threw for more than 4,400 yards and exactly 38 touchdowns, joins Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph and Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta as quarterback prospects who could fall past the first round of the draft.
Pelissero reported that Lauletta has also already worked out for Arizona, confirming the report from 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro that he was expected to get a look.
The Cardinals, who would like a young quarterback to learn under veterans Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon, also worked out likely first-round pick Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma on Wednesday, reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
