Arizona Coyotes announce broadcast schedule for upcoming season

The Arizona Coyotes announced their broadcast schedule for the 2018-19 regular season.
With a fresh season on the horizon, the Coyotes hope to build on a rough 2017-2018 campaign by introducing new talent and a plethora of prospects to their roster. Eighty of the Coyotes’ 82 regular season games will be shown by FOX Sports Arizona, with 56 games on the main network and the remaining 24 on FOX Sports Arizona Plus.
NBC Sports Network will broadcast two Coyotes games in the coming season. The first will come early in the year when the Coyotes head to the Xcel Energy Center to face the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 16. Arizona edged out the Wild 2-1 in the 2017-2018 season series and will look to continue the trend.
The other nationally televised game will be on Jan. 16 when the San Jose Sharks visit Glendale for the divisional foes’ third and final matchup of the year. They’ll meet for the first two games within 15 days of each other in mid-December.

Arizona kicks off the regular season on Oct. 4 with a matchup against the Dallas Stars, who swept the season series 3-0 last year. Dallas won each game by an average margin of two goals and placed sixth in the central division last season.
The Coyotes will host the defending champion Washington Capitals led by Conn Smythe trophy recipient Alex Ovechkin on Dec. 6. Arizona’s young core, headlined by forward Clayton Keller, has a chance to protect their home in a game televised on FSAZ Plus.
Preseason begins on Sept. 14 when the Coyotes take on the reigning conference champion Las Vegas Golden Knights at 5:00 p.m. in Las Vegas.
