Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren will remain sidelined due a bone bruise in his right ankle for the team’s games on Saturday and Sunday, per 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.

The Suns continue to take Warren’s situation day-by-day and have not ruled him out for the rest of the season yet despite a little over a month remaining.

Warren has missed 17 straight games. He last played 16 minutes on Jan. 22.

In the first season of a four-year contract extension, Warren has developed into a dynamic three-point shooter. To go along with his 18 points per game in 43 appearances, Warren is shooting 42.8 percent from deep on 4.2 attempts a night.

Without Warren in the starting lineup, the Suns have been mixing in power forward Dragan Bender and wing Josh Jackson, electing for Bender’s use more recently.

Warren has a history of injuries throughout his young career. In the last three seasons, injuries have added up to Warren playing in only 72 percent of the Suns’ games, with 66 games played in the 2016-17 season his highest mark.
