Former Suns coach Igor Kokoskov is taking no time in searching for a new job.

Kokoskov recently interviewed for the vacant head coaching position with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.

Kokoskov was fired by the Suns on April 22 after going 19-63 in his one season as Phoenix’s coach.

If Kokoskov ends up landing the Memphis job, he will have at least one thing he couldn’t get in Phoenix — a top-level starting point guard.

The Grizzlies own the No. 2 pick in June’s NBA Draft and have reportedly already have locked in on selecting Murray State’s Ja Morant with the pick.

If Memphis somehow doesn’t select Morant, the team will have current starting point guard Mike Conley to work with unless he is traded before the start of next season.

Conley led the Grizzlies with 21.1 points per game and 6.4 assists per game last season.

Phoenix, on the other hand, will introduce Monty Williams as its newest head coach on Tuesday.
