Less than a week after being invited to training camp, the Phoenix Suns signed 28-year-old guard Chasson Randle to the official roster.

Randle made his NBA debut in 2017, going undrafted but being signed by the Philadelphia 76ers. He also played for the New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors and Orlando Magic.

Over 119 career games and seven starts in the league, he’s averaged 5.7 points and 1.8 assists, while shooting 40% overall.

Randle had his best career year by averaging 20.1 minutes per game in 41 outings (five starts) for the Magic last season. Randle averaged 6.5 points, 1.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds with Orlando.

He attended Stanford before playing internationally in Czech Republic, Spain, China as well as the NBA G League.

Randle is unlikely to make the Suns roster as it currently sits at 16 players with six of those being guards.

NBA teams must trim their roster to 15 players for the start of the regular season.

Phoenix begins its 2022-23 campaign after its 2021 NBA Finals run with media day on Monday.
