David Johnson made a lot of people miss tackles in 2016.
How else would he have amassed a league-best 2,118 yards from scrimmage to go along with 20 total touchdowns?
For Cardinals fans, players and coaches, watching Johnson make defenders look foolish was truly an enjoyable sight, and according to NFL.com, one of his moves was the top juke of the 2016 season.
You might remember the play, which came in the team’s Week 8 loss to the Panthers in Carolina. It came late in the third quarter, when Johnson caught a short pass from Carson Palmer and hurdled cornerback Robert McClain before evading linebacker Luke Kuechly with an incredible jump cut.
The play went for 14 yards and set up a touchdown pass to John Brown a few plays later in Arizona’s eventual 30-20 loss.
That play was one of many Johnson made that had people’s jaws drop to the floor, and it is the type of effort that helped secure his status as one of the best players in the NFL.
