The Arizona Wildcats announced the addition of a future home-and-home football series with Colorado State on Thursday.
The series will begin on Sept. 4, 2027 with a game in Fort Collins, Colo., and then will move to Tucson for a matchup on Sept. 2, 2028.
“We are excited to announce this series with Colorado State University,” Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne said in a press release. “The two schools have a strong history between one another and renewing this regional matchup will be of great benefit to both programs. We think our fans will enjoy games like this, along with the other strong programs on our future non-conference schedules.”
The schools have played 17 times in the past, with the Wildcats owning a 13-3-1 advantage. The most recent meeting came on Oct. 8, 1994, when Arizona won 23-16 in Tucson.
Adding Colorado State to future schedules helps fill out, at least in part, the Wildcats’ non-conference opponents in the coming years. A look at all the scheduled matchups can be found here.
