Arizona State to dedicate game against SDSU to coach Frank Kush

Arizona State announced Wednesday they will be dedicating their game on Saturday, Sept. 9 against San Diego State to legendary head coach Frank Kush.
It is the Sun Devils’ second game of the season, following their Aug. 31 meeting with New Mexico State in the season opener.
The program plans to honor Kush in several ways leading up to the game, including an ASU flag that fans can sign on the first floor of the Carson Student-Athlete Center starting on Thursday. There will also be a moment of silence for Kush.
The 88-year-old Kush died in late June. He was the Sun Devils’ head coach from 1958 to 1979 and posted an overall record of 176-54-1. The field at Sun Devil Stadium is named in his honor, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
