Diamondbacks free agent J.D. Martinez is among the biggest names still on the market in what has become a stalemate of unsigned MLB stars, but his frustration with one of his suitors could be good news for Arizona.

On Wednesday, it was reported by Ken Rosenthal that Martinez, who played the last 62 games of the 2017 season with the D-backs after a trade from the Tigers, was getting “fed up” with the Red Sox, who have yet to meet what he feels is an acceptable offer.

Archie Bradley, Martinez’s teammate during the playoff run last season and an emerging D-backs fan favorite, took to Twitter to sway Martinez to the desert.

Let’s just hope Martinez checks his mentions.

Getting the slugger back in a D-backs uniform would be big for a team that enjoyed a .302 average, 29 home runs and 65 RBI down the stretch from the midseason acquisition. Martinez finished 14th in MVP voting, despite changing leagues in the middle of the year, and finished the year with a total of 45 home runs, 104 RBI and a 1.066 OPS.

It was reported last month that Martinez received an offer of five years and somewhere in the range of $100 million from Boston, which is about half of what his camp reportedly is wanting for the 30-year-old’s services.
