West Virginia basketball gives 5-year-old with heart condition a day he’ll never forget

Five-year-old Nicholas Wince loves West Virginia Mountaineers basketball.
On Tuesday, the Mountaineers let Wince know they love him back.
Wince, who lives in Middlebourne, West Virginia, is battling hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a potentially fatal condition.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation learned Wince is a WVU fan and sprung into action. The nonprofit organization coordinated with the Mountaineers to give Wince the fan experience of a lifetime.
On Tuesday, Wince arrived at WVU Coliseum in a limo, participated in a team shootaround and got to lead the team on the court before their game against Texas.
He even got to sign a contract that officially made him a Mountaineer.
Not only is Wince a pretty awesome kid, he’s also apparently a good-luck charm: West Virginia knocked off the Longhorns 71-64 on Tuesday to improve to 22-6 on the season.
