The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed right-handed pitcher Taijuan Walker on the 10-day disabled list with right forearm inflammation, the team announced Sunday.

Walker was set to undergo an MRI in Arizona on Monday.

“Just a little tightness,” he said after the game. “Forearm was a little tight and didn’t want to push it.

“The first thing everyone thinks is, ‘Oh, it’s Tommy John,'” Walker told FOX Sports Arizona on Sunday. “I feel like you kind of know if it’s real serious or not.”

The move comes after Walker left after the second inning of Saturday’s contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers with soreness in his right forearm.

Before exiting, the 6-foot-4, 235-pounder posted a 3.46 ERA, allowing four hits in 2.0 innings. He also struck out two batters and walked another.

In place of Walker, the D-backs announced they have recalled right-handed pitcher Silvino Bracho from Triple-A Reno.

In three appearances for the Aces this season, Bracho has posted a 7.94 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, allowing seven hits in 5.2 innings. He has also struck out nine batters and walked one.

The 25-year-old appeared in 21 games for the D-backs in 2017, posting a 5.66 ERA in 20.2 innings. In those outings he struck out 25 batters and walked seven.
