The search for help at the wide receiver position continues for the Arizona Cardinals as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN have reported Rishard Matthews will be coming to Arizona on Tuesday to work out for the Cardinals.
Matthews was released by the Tennessee Titans Sept. 27 after missing the preseason with a torn meniscus. Matthews also missed most of offseason activities due to an Achilles issue.
After spending his first four seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Matthews enjoyed his most success in 2016 and 2017 with the Titans logging a career best 65 catches, 945 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns in 2016.
Matthews played his college football at Nevada and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2012 draft.
Upon his release from the Titans, Matthews hired sports agent Drew Rosesnhaus to help the wide receiver jumpstart a search for a new team. Schefter has reported that multiple teams have interest in the veteran wide receiver.
He is also expected to work out with the Cleveland Browns on Monday.
