The San Francisco 49ers’ reputation has been slapped with a huge asterisk.
They’re the NFL’s last undefeated team, but with the qualifier that their schedule hasn’t exactly been a gauntlet. You can’t blame a team for who its opponents are, but it’s been a factor in the debate of whether San Francisco is the best team in the league. Maybe that explains why the members of the Doug & Wolf show didn’t agree where the 49ers should rank.
Ron Wolfley had the Niners No. 1, Paul Calvisi had them second in the league and Doug Franz had them third in the Week 10 Doug & Wolf power poll.
Meanwhile, everyone had the Ravens in their top five and the Patriots outside of the top spot after New England lost to Baltimore 37-20 over the weekend.
Wolfley was the only one who gave a nod to the Packers in his power poll, as Green Bay just fell 26-11 to the Chargers this weekend and is 7-2 on the season.
