Contract won’t be issue in pursuit of Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is going to get paid. Very well.
The top free agent on the market, Manning has narrowed his
list down to four teams, according to ESPN NFL insider
Adam Schefter, as the Cardinals, Broncos, Titans and
Dolphins are still in the mix for the QB’s services.
“I don’t see other meetings at this point, I don’t see
another team jumping in at this point,” Schefter told Mike
and Mike on Arizona Sports 620.
Schefter believes Manning’s decision will come “sooner
rather than later,” but that when he picks a team the
contract negotiations will be fairly painless.
“All he has to do is say ‘I want to go play here’ and then
the team is going to say ‘great, we’re going to work this
out,'” he said. “It’s not going to be an issue to get the
contract worked out.”
In fact, money won’t be the issue, wherever he ends up.
“I think whether he goes to Denver, Tennessee, Arizona,
Miami — the money’s going to be almost identical
anywhere,” Schefter added.
Of course, Manning has yet to decide on where he wants to
go, though it’s fair to speculate he probably has a pretty
good idea of where each team ranks on his short list.
And, if Schefter is correct, this saga could be coming to
an end very soon.
