The game might have ended in a 6-6 tie between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium on Saturday, but it was definitely a win for D-backs first baseman Kevin Cron who went 3 for 4 and hit a tape measure home run.
Cron’s home run was part of a two-run first inning for the D-backs. It was his second of the spring.

He also added a double and a single, just a triple shy of a cycle.
It was a welcome sight for Cron, who before the game had only three hits in 20 at-bats.
D-backs second baseman Andy Young also went yard for the first time this spring, while a RBI single by John Hicks and a sacrifice fly by Kole Calhoun accounted for the other two runs.
Zac Gallen got the start on the mound and went 3.2 innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits while striking out two and walking one.
He’s pitched eight innings so far this spring and has allowed five earned runs on six hits as he battles for a spot in the starting rotation.
