ESPN announcer Dave Pasch normally becomes part of Valley sports fans’ homes on a weekly basis as the broadcaster for the Arizona Cardinals and some Arizona State and University of Arizona games.

Now, the four-time Arizona Sportscaster of the Year is now reaching out to help families in financial turmoil due to the coronavirus.

Pasch tweeted Saturday with an offer to help people who have lost income due to the spread of COVID-19 leading businesses to shut down or cut costs.

If there is a family in the Phoenix area who will have lost income because of the Coronavirus, and cannot pay a bill, please DM me.

Typically in March, Pasch spends most his working hours on NCAA basketball tournaments. With the cancellations of March Madness and other tournaments, including the Pac-12 championship, he has been impacted by lost hours.

Others going through similar loss in work may be hit harder by financial loss if they struggle to find hours are forced into quarantine.

Pasch referenced a Bible verse in which Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Ariz. Gov. Doug Ducey has been by asked Arizona Democratic lawmakers to hold a special session to consider coronavirus measures including an expansion of paid sick leave for employees, according to the Tucson Sentinel.
