Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Daniel Hudson questions fans

Jun 28, 2011, 2:59 PM | Updated: 4:27 pm

Last night the Arizona Diamondbacks played in front of a crowd of 25,726 fans. The question is, was it actually a home field advantage?

That’s what starting pitcher Daniel Hudson was wondering as he watched his team take on the Cleveland Indians at Chase Field and he expressed his concern via Twitter after it.

When players start publicly asking if home games are road games there might be an issue. Granted it was the Indians who have never played at Chase Field in Interleague Play and we all know that this is a transient city, but it shouldn’t be an excuse for the fans of a team who is battling to win the National League West.

It’s no secret that Arizona can be a fair weather state when it comes to sports but winning usually cures that. Maybe it will just take time for the D-backs fans to warm up to the fact that this team is for real rather than just waiting to break their hearts.
