Arizona State men’s basketball will again be without four of its players when the Sun Devils take on USC on Friday night.

Senior guard Remy Martin, sophomore big Jalen Graham, junior forward Taeshon Cherry and sophomore guard Jaelen House will all miss their second consecutive game, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.

Martin is in coronavirus protocol after missing the UCLA game to attend his grandfather’s funeral.

Cherry and House are also in COVID-19 protocol, according to Goodman. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported Thursday that Cherry and House were out for non-disciplinary reasons.

Graham will miss the game due to a case of mononucleosis.

Martin is averaging 16.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Graham has started all seven games he has played and is posting 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

Cherry, with three starts and seven appearances, is averaging 3.9 points and 2.3 boards, while House is averaging 3.5 points in 13.3 minutes per game off the bench.

ASU took UCLA to overtime without the four of them on Thursday, but were unable to keep pace in the extra time. The Sun Devils lost 81-75 to fall to 4-4 on the season.

ASU started Holland Woods, Josh Christopher, Alonzo Verge Jr., Marcus Bagley and Chris Osten.

That was ASU’s first game since Dec. 16. The team missed three weeks of games due to one cancellation and three postponements caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
