Patrick Corbin has career-tying night in loss to Milwaukee Brewers

In just his fourth start since returning from Tommy John surgery, Patrick Corbin looked like the pre-injury All-Star ace against the Brewers.
Corbin was a bright spot in the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 loss Friday, striking out ten batters in seven innings, tying his career high. He was only taken out of the game because he reached his pitch count restriction.
Corbin walked one, allowed four hits and his only run allowed was a Ryan Braun solo homer in the sixth.

This comes right after a stellar start from brand-new D-back Zack Godley Thursday night, who notched seven strikeouts. Godley got the win behind eight runs from the offense, but Corbin didn’t get that cushion.
The D-backs only run came in the bottom of the ninth on a Nick Ahmed sacrifice fly. Brewers’ pitcher Jimmy Nelson got the win with five strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
Corbin is now 1-3 since his return this season with a .368 ERA.
