The Arizona Diamondbacks made another trade involving a bullpen arm on Tuesday.

The D-backs sent right-handed pitcher Jacob Webb to the Atlanta Braves for cash considerations.

Arizona claimed Webb off waivers from Atlanta and optioned him to Triple-A Reno on April 19.

Despite the D-backs calling Webb up on May 18, he never made an appearance for the big league club.

Webb was optioned back to Reno on May 20 and then was placed on the seven-day injured list on May 27 before returning to the Aces on Thursday.

The Diamondbacks then designated Webb for assignment on Sunday before trading him to the Braves on Tuesday.

In six appearances for Reno this season, the 28-year-old right-hander allowed six earned runs on eight hits and three walks to go along with seven strikeouts against 26 batters faced across 5.1 innings pitched. Those metrics gave Webb a 10.13 ERA and 2.063 WHIP for the Aces.

After the Braves selected the RHP in the 18th round of the 2014 MLB Draft, Webb made 78 career appearances after making his MLB debut for Atlanta in 2019.

In that time, he has posted a 2.47 ERA, 1.304 WHIP and an 8.3 K/9 over 76.2 innings pitched.
