Social media reacts to Arizona Cardinals new alternate helmets

Jul 24, 2022, 4:05 PM | Updated: 4:09 pm

Fans around the Valley are reacting to a long-awaited addition to the Arizona Cardinals’ uniforms with the new alternate helmet unveiling on Sunday.

The Cardinals have donned the red and white uniforms from the day they moved to Arizona. The black alternate jerseys were added during the 2010 season, but fans have wanted for more than that for quite some time with the simplicity of the current-day uniforms.

Although the helmet does not come with a new jersey, it’s a small treat that many have seemed to enjoy based on the pictures.

Although the reviews for the helmet are mostly positive, not everyone around the Valley loved them.

Some even considered this a smoke screen to feed the fan base’s appetite for new jerseys.

The Cardinals became the fourth team to release a black alternate helmet this offseason, joining the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets.

Are the Cardinals new alternate helmets a good look or did they miss the mark?
