Chase Anderson started this game, but it was the four guys who finished it who made the difference.

Anderson pitched five innings, struck out five and allowed three runs. When Randall Delgado entered in the bottom of the sixth, the D-backs had a 4-3 lead.

How did the final score end up as 9-4? Here’s a look at the bullpen’s night:

Randall Delgado | 1 IP | 3H, 3R, 1BB, 0SO

Delgado had a solid sixth, allowing Ben Paulsen to single but getting Kyle Parker to ground into a double play to end the inning. In the seventh though, he loaded the bases with no outs before being relieved by Keith Hessler.

Keith Hessler | 0.0 IP | 1H, 1R, 0BB, oSO

Hessler obviously didn’t walk out to the greatest situation but on a 1-1 count, this happened:

And that would be the end of Hessler’s night. He now has a 16.88 ERA.

Silvino Bracho | 1IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 0SO

Bracho was able to get the D-backs out of the inning aided by some great defensive plays. Ben Paulsen got a single off Beacho and Brett Hundley hit a ground rule double, but both were left on base as Parker lined out right after. This would end Bracho’s night.

Matt Stites | 1 IP | 4H 2R, 0BB, 0SO

Matt Stites finished this game for the D-backs, and he started off strong with two quick outs. Jose Reyes would get on base on a single and then – this guy….

That would be a career high 7 RBI for Gonzalez and he is the first Rockies player with 2HRs and 7RBI since Jason Giambi did it in 2011.
