GLENDALE — Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is in fact inactive for Arizona’s Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions.
The move was expected given the team’s plans to trade the wide receiver.
Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro says a deal could be finalized as early as Sunday night or Monday morning. Where Harrison is heading remains unclear, though the Houston Texans have been reported as a team to keep an eye on.
With Harrison inactive, the Cardinals could turn to Jalen Brooks to fill his role. Simi Fehoko is another name to watch.
Harrison had caught five passes for 85 yards and touchdown in four games played for the Cardinals.
The 2025 No. 4 overall pick now heads elsewhere to try to revive his sputtering NFL career.
Carson Beck, Starling Thomas V, Andrew Wingard and Andrew Billings are also inactive.
Cardinals DL Walter Nolen III active vs. Lions
Defensive lineman Walter Nolen III is good to go after popping up on the injury report this week with a calf issue.
He’s coming off his best game of the year with a sack and three total pressures.
Nolen will need to build off that if he and the defense hope to slow down a high-powered Lions offense led by quarterback Jared Goff.
