The Cardinals have one fewer Ram to worry about on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams will be without starting left tackle Alaric Jackson for their Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals, as he was suspended two games for punching Buffalo Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb after Monday night’s game, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The postgame incident occurred after one of the wildest games of the season — the Bills defeated the Rams 37-34 in overtime — with Jackson and Chubb frequently lining up opposite each other on the line of scrimmage. Chubb was seen talking trash to Jackson while he was exchanging jerseys with Buffalo’s Deone Walker.
Jackson responded by approaching Chubb before throwing a punch that appeared to make contact with Chubb’s face. Teammates then separated the players.

Jackson could appeal the suspension, but even if he is able to knock it down from two games to one, he would still be unable to suit up against the Cardinals on Sunday.
It could be a huge break for Arizona’s defense, which has been struggling lately. The Cardinals gave up a season-high 45 points this past Sunday in a loss to the Detroit Lions, and have allowed the most points in the entire league.
Jackson, meanwhile, is ranked as the 10th-best tackle in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus, having allowed only one sack in 375 snaps.
The Cardinals are an above-average team (tied for 12th) when it comes to sacks, despite their poor overall defense, so perhaps they can get after the quarterback a bit more often against the Rams with Jackson out.
The Rams’ current backup at left tackle is nine-year veteran David Quessenberry, according to their unofficial depth chart.
