Former Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson and Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson are among those who will enter the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in the 2016 class, the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission announced Thursday.

The fan-favorites will be joined by former Suns coach and Ring of Honor member John MacLeod, race car driver and driving school founder Bob Bondurant, high school basketball coaching legend Royce Youree and Grand Canyon State Games executive director Erik Widmark.

Johnson, who won the 2001 World Series with the D-backs, was a five-time Cy Young Award winner who entered the baseball Hall of Fame in July 2015.

For the Cardinals, Wilson made five Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro four times. He is one of the only six players to record more than 25 sacks and 25 interceptions. Wilson entered the Cardinals’ Ring of Honor last year.

MacLeod won 579 games with the Suns and 707 in his NBA coaching career. He led Phoenix to 11 playoff appearances from 1973-1987 and entered the team’s Ring of Honor in 2012.

Before becoming a high school coaching legend, Youree played basketball at ASU and helped the Sun Devils to their first NCAA Tournament appearance before winning five state titles at East High School. He later coached at Mesa Community College. He entered the ASU Hall of Fame in 1995.

Widmark played two years in the NFL before running the Grand Canyon State Games, an Olympics-like event, from 1995-2013.

After a career on the track himself, Bondurant brought his racing school to Arizona in 1990. It has graduated 300,000 drivers since 1968.

The 2016 class will join the 2015 Hall of Fame class that included former Suns forward Charles Barkley, Suns coach Cotton Fitzsimmons, reporter Joe Gilmartin, Luis Gonzalez, ASU golfer Danielle Ammaccapane.

The class will be formally inducted at the Tempe Center for the Arts at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27. Tickets are available here.
