SAN DIEGO (AP) — Ryan Schimpf’s second homer of the game was a three-run shot in the 10th inning that gave the San Diego Padres a 7-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night.

Yangervis Solarte drew a one-out walk from Patrick Corbin (4-13) in the 10th before Alex Dickerson singled. Schimpf followed with his game-winner on the first pitch.

Schimpf hit a two-run homer in the eighth off Enrique Burgos that tied the game 4-4. It is his third multi-homer game of the season.

Arizona loaded the bases in the top of the 10th against Kevin Quackenbush (7-4), but Jake Lamb struck out to end the threat.

Jean Segura had five hits and drove in two runs for the Diamondbacks.

Zack Grienke started for Arizona and allowed two runs and seven hits over seven innings, rebounding from giving up nine runs in his previous start against the Boston Red Sox. Grienke struck out eight and walked two.

Arizona got its first run in the second when Yasmany Tomas led off with a double against Jarred Cosart and scored on a single by Chris Owings.

Segura helped Arizona get the lead in the seventh after stealing third base and scoring on a throwing error by Derek Norris.

San Diego answered in the bottom of the inning with a double by Schimpf and single by Christian Bethancourt.

Cosart allowed one run and eight hits over 5 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out seven.
