How the West Was Won – Week 11: Adversity doesn’t slow down Arizona Cardinals

Through nine weeks of the season, it seems like almost nothing can slow down the Arizona Cardinals’ winning ways.
Sunday, a stagnant offense and a season-ending knee injury to Carson Palmer stood in the way…temporarily. Backup Drew Stanton came in, hit John Brown on a 48-yard touchdown pass and the defense added two fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 31-14 win over the St. Louis Rams at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Stanton will now take the reins of the Arizona offense for the second time this season. The veteran led the Cardinals to a 2-1 record in three starts while Palmer was sidelined with a nerve issue in his right shoulder.
