Fans, media and players react to Cardinals’ Bruce Arians’ retirement

It was an emotional day for Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians as he announced his retirement after five seasons with the team during a press conference on Monday.

Fans, players and members of the media flooded Twitter to show their support and admiration for a coach who set a single-season franchise wins mark — twice — and who capped off his career by becoming the most winningest coach in Cardinals’ history with a victory against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.

Below are — just some of — the reactions from the day.

Thank you @BruceArians for a wild ride on the winning side! 50 wins in 5-years…I would have loved to play under your watch but you would have cut me after my first fight. Love and respect, coach.

If everyone in a position of power would change the game and be a champion for change like @BruceArians did for me, the world world would be a much better place. The @Nfl will never be the same. We love you. Cheers to the next phase coach. @AZCardinals #BirdGang pic.twitter.com/3WxlTJArge
