The Arizona Diamondbacks made a quartet of roster moves Tuesday, recalling pitcher Zack Godley and outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker from Triple-A Reno, optioning pitcher Braden Shipley to Reno and placing outfielder Yasmany Tomas on the 10-day disabled list with right groin tendinitis.
The 27-year-old Godley is 1-1 with a 2.39 ERA in six starts with the D-backs this season. He has allowed no more than three earned runs in each of his starts, in which opponents are hitting just .220 off him.
Godley will start for Arizona on Saturday, manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday.
Hazelbaker, 29, batted .308 with one home run and five RBI in mostly a pinch-hitter role with the D-backs before being optioned to the minors on May 4. In 22 games with Reno, he hit .329 with five home runs and 15 RBI.
Shipley has made two starts for the D-backs this season, posting a 0-1 record with a 7.00 ERA in nine innings of work, while Tomas lands on the DL with a .241 average, eight home runs and 32 RBI.
