In the final of Empire of the Suns’ four installments of our roundtable with the hosts, editors and Empire of the Suns writers who cover the Phoenix Suns at 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station, we’re asking for a final take.

Who do you want the Suns to take at No. 4? If it’s Josh Jackson, who should it be if he’s off the board?

Dave Burns: I do want the Suns to take Josh Jackson but if not him, I’d prefer Jayson Tatum. The one-two punch of him and Devin Booker would be fun to watch and tough to stop.

Jon Bloom: Josh Jackson, and it’s not close.  I’d even take him over Fultz.  If he’s gone, my pick in order of preference would be Tatum, Isaac, Monk.

John Gambadoro: Josh Jackson would be my pick perfect fit and plays both ends of the court better than anyone else in the draft. If Jackson is not there and Lonzo Ball is, I would take Ball and have the point guard of the future, and I wouldn’t worry too much about the psycho father as his 10 minutes of fame will run out once the kid matures.

Craig Grialou: If Josh Jackson is off the board, I’d go with Jonathan Isaac. I like his size, but more importantly, I like his defense. The Suns need both more scoring and defense this offseason, but if they can find someone who can control the paint and be a stopper around the rim, that’s where their focus needs to be.

Vince Marotta: I think Josh Jackson makes the most sense. His athleticism, defense and motor are all things the Suns could use right away. If he’s off the board and De’Aaron Fox is still there, I’d like to see the Suns grab him. And hey, what’s one more one-year Kentucky guard on the team, right?

Adam Green: Josh Jackson would be my pick at No. 4, but assuming he, Fultz and Ball make up the top three, if I’m the Suns, I go with Jayson Tatum. If nothing else, you know he will be a productive scorer in the NBA, and the Suns cannot afford to come away from this draft with anything less than a useful player.

Kellan Olson: I think the two best prospects the Suns have a chance at getting are Ball and Jackson. With that in mind, there’s a far better chance both are off the board. I’ll continue to push the Jonathan Isaac pick to add even more defensive versatility. The spot for him to land in Phoenix isn’t perfect, but neither is anyone else’s in a scenario where Fultz, Ball and Jackson go top-3. That’s why the lottery was such a poor turnout for the Suns.

Kevin Zimmerman: Jackson is the best fit and Ball would be a no-brainer if he’s there as well. After that, Isaac is the most appealing fit as a lanky, versatile defender who with a more consistent jumper could play alongside Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender as a small forward down the road.

Doug Franz: Jackson. If it’s not him, then no one. Trade with the Kings for picks five and 10.
