Local teams, athletes react to the D-backs’ Wild Card win

Oct 5, 2017, 10:25 AM

The Arizona Diamondbacks were on the winning end of a Wild Card thriller on Wednesday night, and it drew quite a reaction across social media.

The D-backs took down the Rockies at home by a score of 11-8 to advance to the NLDS. Teams and athletes across the valley chimed in to give their thoughts on the game, including the Arizona Cardinals:

In fact, the Cardinals’ own Larry Fitzgerald was at the game.

Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner was in the house to throw out the first pitch. He seemed impressed with the triple by relief pitcher Archie Bradley:

…As did Suns star Devin Booker.

And, of course, the D-backs themselves were pretty excited about their win:

It was a great win, for sure. And Bradley was getting a lot of the attention.
