Pacers’ Roy Hibbert brightens the day of third grade class in Indianapolis

Feb 17, 2014, 11:58 PM | Updated: 11:58 pm

Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert played in his second All-Star Game on Sunday, but he is no stranger to making an impact off the court as well.

He recently visited a third grade class at the Paramount School of Excellence in Indianapolis, as shown in a video posted to YouTube by the NBA. Lots of smiles go around as he gets his hands dirty while finger painting and gets pelted — several times over — in dodgeball.

The funniest sight might be seeing the 7-foot-2 player sit in one of the class’ small seats. He also makes a handprint on a piece of paper, taking up almost the entire sheet.

Hibbert’s main message was for the students to dream big, and it looks like they are off to a good start.
