The Arizona Cardinals suffered two injuries along their defensive line during their second preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Friday, and on Wednesday, the team made a series of roster moves to reflect the day-to-day status of their two starters, Robert Nkemdiche and Corey Peters.

Arizona signed defensive tackles Tani Tupou and Nigel Williams, opening roster spots for them by releasing tight end Chris Bazile and wide receiver Austin Wolf.

Adding the defensive tackles could indicate the Cardinals at least need healthy bodies for practices after Nkemdiche left the win in New Orleans with a foot injury.

Like Nkemdiche, Peters didn’t participate in Sunday practice after injuring his knee against the Saints, though he did return in the game.

The 6-foot-1, 284-pound Tupou appeared in one game with the Atlanta Falcons in 2017 and spent most of the year on the team’s practice squad. An undrafted rookie in the 2016 class, the Washington product also played in one game for the Seattle Seahawks his rookie season.

Williams, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 297 pounds, was an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2017 and joined the Buffalo Bills before being released on Sept. 2 last year.

Bazile signed with Arizona in July, and Wolf was inked Aug. 14.
