The Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos both have fewer wins than they each hoped for at this point in the season, and both teams feature premier names on defense with the likes of Patrick Peterson, Chandler Jones and Von Miller.

Miller, a three-time All-Pro linebacker on a Broncos team that is playing the Cardinals on Thursday night in a short week, expressed confidence Tuesday in his team’s chances at State Farm Stadium.

“They’re going to get our whole team’s best, and that starts with me, they’re going to get my best this week,” he said. “We’re going to go out there and we’re going to kick their [expletive]. That’s how I’m feeling.”

A reporter followed up to ask if this week’s game for the Broncos, who are 2-4 on the season, is a “must-win” game.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a must-win, we’re going to kick their [expletive], though. Make sure you put that up there. We’re going to kick their [expletive].”

Miller and the Broncos defense have allowed an NFL-high 968 rushing yards on defense, with the Arizona Cardinals trailing right behind with 907 rushing yards allowed. Denver also ranks first in rushing yards allowed per attempt at 5.6 yards, while Arizona is 13th in that category with 4.4.

The Broncos come into their Week 7 matchup in Arizona with a four-game losing streak after opening the season with two wins in a row. The Broncos’ most recent defeat came at home against the LA Rams, falling by a narrow 23-20 margin.

Listen to the Cardinals battle the Broncos on Thursday night on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station, with pre-game coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m.
