Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks told reporters on Friday that offensive lineman Jeremy Vujnovich and safety Tre Boston were not expected to play on Sunday as the two recover from injury.
Boston is nursing an injury to the shoulder and ribs, while Vujnovich is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Neither Vujnovich nor Boston participated in practice on Thursday.
Wilks said the other players recovering from injuries would be gametime decisions for the Arizona Cardinals, who host the San Francisco 49ers this weekend at State Farm Stadium.
Vujnovich is not a starter on the Cardinals’ offensive line, but his presence is important for the team’s depth as Mike Iupati and Justin Pugh have been limited in practice this week with injuries of their own.
Boston, meanwhile, joins Jamar Taylor as the only defensive backs on Arizona’s injury report as of Thursday, but Taylor participated fully in practice on Thursday. Boston is listed on the depth chart as the backup free safety to Antoine Bethea.
