Archie Goodwin lands acrobatic dunk at rookie event

There have been question marks surrounding Phoenix Suns rookie Archie Goodwin’s jump shot. An ESPN analyst recently wrote that Goodwin can combine with new Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe to give the team its “backcourt of the future” — as long as Goodwin develops his jumper.

However, the elements of the rookie’s game that get everyone excited are his driving and leaping abilities. The 6-foot-5 guard has shown a knack to get to the rim and throw down impressive dunks, as the Suns have already seen during the Las Vegas Summer League.

At Panini America’s (a trading card company) 2013 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot in Tarrytown, N.Y., on Tuesday, Goodwin elevated for a between-the-legs, off-hand slam while flanked by many cameras.

It was a dunk so smooth that an NBA employee made it into a Vine video and posted it to the league’s Twitter account.

We’ll see soon if somebody got a shot of the dunk that’s worthy of going on his basketball card.
