The Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats will square off in the 2019 Territorial Cup on Friday, Nov. 29, in a nationally-televised game on FOX.
The teams released their entire 2019 football schedules on Tuesday with game times to be announced at a later date.
ASU has a favorable schedule in conference play, playing Washington State at home and missing steady winners in 2018 champion Washington and Stanford entirely. The final four weeks could look tough on paper, but Herm Edwards’ team hosts the USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks and Arizona at Sun Devil Stadium with a visit to Oregon State mixed in after a Nov. 2 bye.
The Sun Devils, who went 7-5 in 2018 and will play in the Las Vegas Bowl, open next season with a Thursday game against Kent State on Thursday, Aug. 29. They will then host Sacramento State the next Friday before visiting Michigan State to round out the nonconference schedule.
Arizona, which finished 5-7 in coach Kevin Sumlin’s first season, plays at Hawaii and hosts NAU and Texas Tech in the nonconference season. The Wildcats will miss playing Pac-12 North opponents Cal and Washington State next year.
It’s a tough road slate, however, as Sumlin’s team plays at USC, Stanford, Oregon and ASU.
