The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired INF/OF Tim Locastro from the New York Yankees for LHP Ronald Roman and cash considerations.
The 26-year-old Locastro was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 13th round of the 2013 draft.
He has had two stints in the MLB with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In his 21 games as a big leaguer, Locastro has a .167 batting average and two walks in 15 career plate appearances.
He also has five stolen bases in as many attempts.
Defensively, he has eight putouts and has never made an error in his 27 innings of Major League Baseball.
The D-backs will be sending over cash considerations and Román, a 17-year-old from Puerto Plata, D.R.
He was signed by the D-backs last July as part of the team’s international signee class of 2018.
