Former Phoenix Suns two-way point guard Jawun Evans was claimed off waivers by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
Evans played in seven games for the Suns this season, registering a total of 64 minutes played and 13 shot attempts.
The 22-year-old floor general spent most of the season up north with the Northern Arizona Suns. In the G League, he averaged 15.1 points and 5.8 assists per game in 32 games.
Evans will be returning to the state in which he played collegiately for Oklahoma State. He was originally selected with the 39th pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017.
On Dec. 7, the Suns filled their second two-way contract spot by signing Evans. That first spot has been held all season by second-round pick George King, who the Suns drafted No. 59 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.
