Phoenix Mercury trade Stephanie Talbot for 2020 2nd-round pick

The Phoenix Mercury announced on Tuesday that the team traded forward Stephanie Talbot to the Minnesota Lynx for a 2020 second-round draft pick.
Talbot was the 33rd overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Mercury.
After staying overseas for three years, the 24-year-old made her WNBA debut in 2017 and has played 65 games since then for Phoenix, averaging 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game. She also has played in 8 playoff games, averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 16.4 minutes in those appearances.
Her 41.5% shooting percentage was second among all WNBA rookies in 2017.
Talbot played for Australia’s national team, which won the silver medal at the 2018 Women’s World Cup.
The Mercury roster now stands at 13 players. Talbot’s departure leaves the forward group with DeWanna Bonner, Camille Little, Sancho Lyttle, Alanna Smith and Brianna Turner.
