The Arizona Diamondbacks have had an up-and-down year 100 games through the regular season.
One of the bright spots on the season has been second baseman Ketel Marte and the breakout year he is having.
He was rewarded after being voted in by the fans to start at second base for the National League at the 2019 MLB All-Star game.
On the season, Marte has 21 home runs while batting .320 with a .952 OPS and 60 RBIs.
There have been nine games played since the All-Star game and Marte has continued where he left off.
But he’s been playing even better since he left Cleveland, raising his batting average by nine points and getting on base more often.
