D-backs reinstate Andriese from 10-day IL, option Scott to Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks have reinstated right-handed pitcher Matt Andriese from the 10-day injured list, the team announced in a press release Sunday.

Andriese was placed on the list with a left foot contusion July 20.

In 37 games this season for the D-backs, Andriese has gone 4-4 with a 5.81 ERA. He’s also tallied 51 strikeouts.

Andriese pitched in three rehab appearances with Rookie-Level AZL D-backs and Double-A Visalia Rawhide. He recorded 2.1 IP with 4 strikeouts.

In a corresponding move, the D-backs optioned left-handed pitcher Robby Scott to Triple-A Reno.
