The Arizona Diamondbacks are fully leaning into Players’ Weekend, which has become a date on the calendar certain players circle and keep in mind throughout the whole season.
Described as MLB’s version of “casual Friday,” players are allowed to go above and beyond with their cleats, equipment and more. For the D-backs, this will take place in Milwaukee against the Brewers for three games, starting on Friday.
D-backs left fielder David Peralta came prepared with his own special “Dragon Ball Z” themed cleats.

Another way for players to express themselves is with different styles of bats, which Peralta, Adam Jones and Carson Kelly took part in as well.

Jones paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle with his own cleats dedicated to the late rapper.

The nameplate on the back of players’ jerseys will also feature nicknames selected by themselves, highlighted notoriously two years ago by former D-back Zack Greinke going by “Greinke.”
