Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray set another NFL record in Sunday’s 30-27 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This time, the No. 1 overall pick broke the rookie record for consecutive passes thrown without an interception at 177 attempts.

Murray completed the feat midway through the first quarter on a 10-yard pass to Larry Fitzgerald.

The streak, however, ended at 211 pass attempts without a pick before Murray and the Cardinals wrapped their game on Sunday.

Murray threw a red zone interception with 3:40 to play when Cardinals receiver Trent Sherfield fell down, allowing the Bucs’ Jamel Dean to pick off a pass, which in turn led to a game-winning drive by Tampa Bay.

Murray finished the loss with 324 yards while completing 27 of 44 passes. He threw for three scores and the game-altering pick. He also led the Cardinals with 38 rushing yards on three carries.

Receiver Christian Kirk was on the receiving end of six of Murray’s completions, finishing the road game with 138 yards and three touchdowns on 10 targets.
