GLENDALE, Ariz. — Cardinals linebackers Haason Reddick and Tanner Vallejo left the game against the Cleveland Browns after suffering injuries in the third quarter on Sunday at State Farm Stadium.
The two were originally questionable to return before being downgraded. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury did not have any updates on the linebackers after the game.
Reddick injured his groin and left the game after recording two tackles. The outside linebacker, who was poised to see an increased role after Arizona released veteran Terrell Suggs on Friday, did not see playing time on the Cardinals’ first two defensive possessions.
He did, however, take over for starter Cassius Marsh from that point forth.
Kingsbury said getting more looks at Reddick, who converted positions from inside linebacker two weeks ago, was part of the decision to release Suggs. The Cardinals’ ability to watch the 2017 first-round pick play as a pure pass-rusher that could be at risk if his injury is significant.
Vallejo left the game against the Browns with a rib injury after he recorded two tackles while earning snaps in place of Joe Walker.
The inside linebacker was a midseason signing who spent all of training camp with Arizona only to be released at the 53-man roster cutdowns before Week 1 of the regular season.
Vallejo was re-signed to the practice squad on Nov. 20 and promoted to the NFL roster two weeks later.
