Arizona Diamondbacks place Jake Lamb on 15-day DL

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed third baseman Jake Lamb on the 15-day disabled list with a left foot stress reaction, the team announced Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, the team has recalled infielder Danny Dorn from Triple-A Reno.
Lamb has gotten off to a great start this season, hitting .414 with one home run, and nine RBI in 10 games (29 at-bats).
“We’re not quite sure when it happened,” D-backs manager Chip Hale told Burns and Gambo on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM about Lamb’s injury. “If it was just the pounding. He’s pretty hard on his feet when he runs, but he’s had these same feet and same body for a long time.”
The skipper said Lamb’s foot just started to hurt a bit, and after checking things out with an MRI, it was determined that he had the stress reaction.
“So he should be in a boot for a couple weeks and then once he gets out of that we’ll be getting him ready to play,” Hale said. “So we’re looking at maybe 15 to 20 days and hopefully get him back in the lineup.”
So in steps the 30-year-old Dorn, who in 10 games with the Aces this season hit .474 with four doubles, one home run, eight RBI and seven runs scored.
The D-backs also announced Tuesday they had placed catcher Gerald Laird on the 60-day DL.
