Manning Watch: Broncos flying to NC to watch, talk with Manning

After a week of meetings with four teams, Peyton
Manning
is now reportedly going to work out for the first team he
sat down with.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said the Broncos have a plane
traveling to North Carolina on Friday.
North Carolina is where Manning has been working out in
recent weeks.
“A private plane scheduled to leave [Friday] morning from
Denver, Colorado to fly to Durham, North Carolina,”
Schefter
said on ESPN. “Clearly this is an indication the Broncos
are going to watch, meet with, speak with [and] talk with
Peyton Manning at some point [Friday].”
Just because the Broncos are going to now watch and then
talk with Manning again doesn’t necessarily mean they are
going to be the team that signs Manning.
“It’s the next step in the process,” Schefter said.
It’s his understanding that Manning may do this for other
teams as well.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that teams want to work
the quarterback out. If they are going to give millions of
dollars they should at least see the player with their own
eyes after he missed en entire season.
As for the latest on the Cardinals, Schefter does say it
appears they
are “on the outside looking in.”
