The Arizona Cardinals reportedly met with a draft prospect before closing the training facility.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Tennessee OLB/Edge rusher Darrell Taylor was seen leaving the Cardinals’ training facility Friday morning before the team staff’s exit at noon.

The report comes after Arizona announced it will close the team facility starting at noon and restrict entry with “very limited exceptions for operationally critical personnel” starting Monday. The decision comes in response to the coronavirus spread throughout the country.

Taylor out of Tennessee made 46 tackles in his senior year (13 games), 10 for loss, 8.5 sacks, four pass deflections, one forced fumble and one recovery.

Outside of linebacker Chandler Jones, the Cardinals’ linebacker corps made up seven sacks last season, with Cassius Marsh (2.5) the closest linebacker to Jones (19). Listed at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, Taylor could be a potential complement alongside Jones, who sits just an inch taller.

In his four seasons with the Volunteers, Taylor made 118 tackles, 26.5 for loss, 19.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, six forced fumbles and seven recoveries.

He did not participate at the NFL Combine and could likely be a Day 2 or Day 3 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.
